BASE is the annual Bachelor Exhibition, celebrating the new Bachelors as well as 2nd year students projects. The themes challenged and unfolded in previous years have been Opening(s) and Covering(s). This year the six bachelor units have all given their interpretations of the theme Anchoring(s). With Anchoring(s) the circle in a cycle is full, a cycle representing the archetypical elements of the classical temple front; base, colonnade and roof.
The simple, pink podium covers the exhibition space, yet divided in two, allowing the audience to make a shortcut or to study things from both sides. How simple it may seem, however, due to its size and colour, the BASE gives the exhibited works a certain exclusiveness and lightness.
